Reflections of Nature
One of Aesop’s fables is about a woman who had a hen that laid an egg every day. Hoping to get twice as many eggs from the hen, the woman fed the hen twice as much grain, but the hen grew fat and was not able to lay even one egg a day. The fable hints that those who are desirous of more could end up losing that which they have.
