Weird Animals Vacation Bible School hosted at the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church will be held from July 7 to 11, from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Kids from three years old to sixth grade, as well as high school and adult volunteers and special class for adults to attend. The Joyful Sound Trio comprised of Dick and Linda Blanchard and Cheryl Rowlands will be at the 9 a.m. church service at Sugar Run Presbyterian Church on Sunday, June 29. The church is located on the hill in Sugar Run on Franklin Drive.


The PA Motorcycle Safety Program is offering classes for area residents to learn to ride a motorcycle. Information is available at www.pamsp.com. A motorcycle permit is needed in order to register for a class. Participants will need to go to a PennDOT Driver License Center and obtain a motorcycle learner’s permit before registering for a class.


The Wysox Sewing will hold their monthly dinner at noon, Tuesday, July 8 in Ferguson Hall of the Wysox Presbyterian Church, Rt. 187N, Wysox. Memorial Hospital’s monthly bereavement support group schedule for 2014 will continue to meet on the last Tuesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 p.m., located in the library on the lower level of Memorial Hospital, Towanda. The group follows the book by James Miller, What Will Help Me? and other authors’ writings related to grief and loss. The support group is open to those who have experienced loss and is facilitated by Trudy Ventello, LSW, a social worker with Memorial Hospital’s Hospice program.
