Dawson James Mosier, 16 of Sugar Run, PA (Quicks Bend), passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, in which he was a passenger, that occurred early Sunday morning, July 20, 2014 on Township Rt. 391, Sugar Run.
Born in Towanda, PA on June 12, 1998, he was the son of Kristie (Rider) Ramey of Quicks Bend and Jeffery Mueller of Binghamton, NY. He was a student at Wyalusing Valley High School and was going to be in the ninth grade this upcoming school year.
Dawson loved playing his video games and also playing basketball. He loved hanging out with friends and his family. He especially enjoyed hanging out with his younger brother, Mason Ramey. One of Dawson’s dreams was to join the US Navy.
Besides his mother Kristie, Dawson is survived by his sister Sarah Mosier (Jeremy Puterbaugh) of Laceyville; his brother Mason Ramey of Quicks Bend; nephew Jordan Mosier of Laceyville and with a niece on the way; maternal grandmother Deborah Nogalo of Laceyville, and maternal grandfather Daniel Rider of New Milford. Dawson is also survived by his cousin Jessica Rider of Spring Hill, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving are Dawson’s girlfriend, Grace Schriner of New Albany; best friends Nicholas Mosier of Laceyville and Codie Westbrook of Laceyville and his godfather Tony Donnora of Mehoopany.
Funeral services for Dawson will be held on Friday, July 25, at 11 a.m. from Sheldon Funeral Homes, Main Street, Laceyville, with Vickie Ellis of the Beaver Meadows United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be held at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Stowell. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, July 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Destiny Robinson Benefit Fund, c/o Community Bank N/A, 101 Main St., Laceyville, PA 18623. Destiny is a classmate and friend of Dawson who is battling Leukemia.
