Monthly Breakfast at the Herrickville Fire Hall, Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. All you can eat: pancakes, French toast, ham, sausage, eggs, home fries, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee, orange juice, real maple syrup and sugar-free syrup. Camptown Community Church Vacation Bible School will be held on Aug. 4 to 8, 6 to 8:30 p.m. for ages three to grade six. Extra helpers and donations always appreciated.

The Second Sunday Vesper Service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, corner of Church and Chestnut Streets, Montrose at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10. A salad buffet will be served in the Parish House following the ecumenical service.

Dupont Retirees’ Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 11:30 a.m. at the Wyalusing Hotel.

Memorial Hospital’s monthly bereavement support group schedule for 2014 will continue to meet on the last Tuesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 p.m., located in the library on the lower level of Memorial Hospital, Towanda. The group follows the book by James Miller, What Will Help Me? and other authors’ writings related to grief and loss. The support group is open to those who have experienced loss and is facilitated by Trudy Ventello, LSW, a social worker with Memorial Hospital’s Hospice program. Lamb Reunion. The 98th Annual Brotzman Reunion will be held on Aug. 9 at the South Auburn Grange Hall. Doors open at 11 a.m. and a carry-in lunch will start about 12:15. The Annual Mowry Reunion usually held the second Saturday in August is cancelled. Family members are invited to attend the gathering of the sons of Rex Mowry on Sunday, Aug. 30 at noon at Lake Verex, South Auburn. It was first established to honor the memory of Duane Mowry. Come prepared with a large dish to share and beverage. Members are urged to bring any old pictures to share and new information, re: births, deaths and marriages, in order to update the family history.

Lady Lightning, a local area based ASA girls’ travel softball team has openings on two U16 teams for the 2015 season.
