Born on July 28, 1957 in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was the son of the late Thomas L. Boyle, Sr. (March 19, 2011) and Joan Shaffer Boyle of Freehold, NJ.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School in Metuchen, NJ with the Class of 1975.
Bill worked as a warehouse supervisor at the A&P in New Jersey for many years. He moved to South Auburn about six years ago to care for his father, who was a longtime resident of South Auburn.
Bill was a member of the Rought Hall Post 510 American Legion in Black Walnut, as well as the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local 863 in New Jersey. He liked the New York Jets football team, following NASCAR and he loved to fish.
Survivors include his mother, Joan Shaffer Boyle of Freehold, NJ; his siblings, Joan Isaacs and her husband, Jeff of Howell Township, NJ, Tamy Sutton of Catskill, NY, Thomas Boyle, Jr. and his wife, Maryellen of Hazlet, NJ, and Lisa Quaglieri and her husband, Anthony of Matawan, NJ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 12 p.m. at St. Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Joseph Manarchuck of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Bonaventure’s Cemetery, Auburn. Family and friends may call at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR 6 (Main St.), Meshoppen, on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
