Leo T. GuitonLeo T. GuitonLeo T. Guiton, 87, of Montrose, PA, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore, PA, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. He was born in Middletown Township, PA, to the late Francis A. and Anna (McInerney) Guiton. His wife of 58 years, Loretta (Tewksbury) Guiton, survives.

Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Janet Guiton of Ocean Pines, MD; special granddaughters, Jessica and Emma Guiton; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and William Allis of Lake Placid, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Jacqueline Guiton of Montrose; sister-in-law, Blanche Guiton of Springville and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mae Poch and Helen Taylor, and three brothers, Paul, Raymond and James “Walt” Guiton.

Leo was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a farmer his entire life, drove school bus for 39 years for the Elk Lake School District and even mowed at the school for many years. He was a member of the St. Brigid’s Parish and former member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a former member of the Rush Volunteer Fire Company. Leo was an avid hunter and former member of the local sportsman club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 20 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Friendsville, with Rev. Casimir Stanis officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Flynn. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose.
