Charlotte Billings Charlotte Billings Mrs. Charlotte Marie (Ford) Billings, 89, of Le- Raysville, PA, was called to her heavenly home while surrounded by her family at her home in Camptown on Sept. 4, 2017.

Her love for the Lord and devotion to family will be the lasting trademarks of her life here on earth.

Charlotte was born in Wyalusing on March 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Herman A. and Zella Anna Conrad Ford.

She attended the Stevensville grade school and then the Camptown High School and Towanda High School. She graduated from the Allentown Bible Institute.

She married Robert James Billings of Massena, NY, in June 1946.

In 1947, Charlotte and Robert moved from Elmira, NY, to the island of Abaco in the British West Indies, where they served as missionaries for nearly a decade.

After returning to the U.S., Charlotte was a loving helpmate to her husband as he pastored churches in Tennessee, Texas and Indiana until his death in May 1995.

Charlotte moved to Le- Raysville in 1996 to live at her beloved homestead “Ford Street.” She devoted her time to writing letters to friends and family, in which she shared her faith and told others about the love of Christ. She spent the final three years of her life in Camptown with family.

Charlotte is survived by her sons, Robert (Michelle) Billings of Venetia, PA, and William Billings of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Bret (Angie) Billings of LeRaysville, Vanessa (Rafe) Seiler of Camptown, Valerie (Ryan) Howell of Mount Vernon, IN, Mark (Tracy) Billings of Pasadena, MD, Beth Webster of Lansdown, VA, Tony Billings of Alexandria, VA, and Tori Billings of Venetia, PA; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; several loving nieces, nephews and cousins and her devoted caregivers, Maureen, Irene and Ethel.

She was predeceased by brothers, Norman Ford, Calvin Ford and Erwin Ford, and sisters, Carmen Hight and Donna Ford. She was a member of the Orwell Bible Church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Orwell Bible Church, 1749 Orwell Road, Rome, with Pastor Richard Vieldhouse and Pastor Ken Crain officiating.

Interment will be in the Rushville Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

Charlotte’s wishes are for each of us to be kind to our family members and neighbors and always tell others about Christ.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing.
