Robert Voda Robert Voda Robert A. Voda, Sr., 73, of Wyalusing, PA, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017 at his home at Park Place Apartments in Wyalusing, where he had been residing for the last five years.

Bob was born on Nov. 4, 1944 in Meshoppen, PA, the son of the late Ambrose Voda, who passed away on March 7, 1984, and Elizabeth Tokasz Voda, who passed away on Sept. 1, 1984. He was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School with the Class of 1964. Bob worked as a machinist at Bendix Corp in South Montrose for a number of years. He also worked for Masonite in Wysox, in local stone quarries and as a newspaper deliveryman for The Daily Review in Towanda. Bob loved to go hunting and fishing. He participated in a bowling league at Mountainside Lanes in Wyalusing, and he was also a great pool shooter.

He is survived by his three sons, Robert A Voda, Jr. of Rome, Joseph Voda and his wife, Londa of Tunkhannock and David Voda of Dalton, PA; grandchildren, Dustin Voda, Marissa Voda, Makayla Voda and Peyton Voda. Also surviving are his brothers, Thomas Voda and wife, Lynne of Laceyville and Richard Voda and wife, Linda of Laceyville; sister, Carol Owen and husband, Woody of Laceyville; sister, Connie Blake and husband, Randy of Towanda, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his lifelong companion, Pat Loyack, who passed away on Sept. 25, 2001.

A memorial service for Bob will be held on Friday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. at the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church Street, Wyalusing, with Reverend Charles Bishop of the Elk Lake and Transue Community Churches officiating. Interment will follow at Beaver Meadows Cemetery.

For any who may have a troubled heart, just know that Robert accepted the news of the Gospel, John 3:19. And the light of the world, Lord Jesus Christ saved his soul. And that is available to whosoever wants to receive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
