Children’s Christmas Party, Sunday, Dec. 10, at the VFW Post 6824 on Haigh’s Pond Road from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Age groups are: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. Santa Claus will be there from 1:30 until 2 p.m. Bring your camera for pictures. Christmas Variety Show, Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Wysox Presbyterian Church sanctuary. Admission is free, with a love offering taken. All are invited to attend and enjoy local artists spotlighting their talents, welcoming in the Christmas season. Wyalusing Town Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Wyalusing Borough, Friday, Nov. 24. Christmas caroling begins at 7 p.m. Music provided by the Wyalusing Adult Band. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 7:30 p.m. on W.V.V.F.D’s antique fire truck. Kids: Bring your Christmas lists. Caroling held at the corner of Marsh and Church Streets on the lawn of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church. Arts and crafts available for the kids at the TW Community Room on Main Street. Parents: Bring your camera to take pictures of the kids with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Event sponsored by the Wyalusing Rainbow Club. ‘Christmas in Montrose’ presented by the Montrose Community Chorale Sunday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 367 Church Street, Montrose. A beautifully decorated giant chocolate rocking horse from will be raffled off. Raffle tickets available from church members or at the door. A freewill offering will be accepted. Refreshments will be served. New Albany community lighting at United Methodist Church Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. (weather permitting). Come enjoy horse drawn wagon rides, decorating the tree, caroling, making s’mores, and hot chocolate. All are invited to be a part of this festive time. Gingerbread houses at the South Auburn Grange on Friday, Dec 1. from 6 to 8 p.m. Please bring your candies for decoration. Call 570-833-4618 for more information. Holiday Concert Friday, Dec. 8 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Towanda Unitarian Universalists Fellowship, 305 Second Street, Towanda. Kirby Brass Band will play. Free to the public. Goodwill donations accepted.
