James Jackson

James L. Jackson, 82, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018.

He was born in Wyalusing on Sept. 30, 1935, the son of the late Wardell and Shirley (Strong) Jackson.

Jim has been living in Collegeville since 2015. He previously resided in The Villages, FL, Harrisburg, PA, and Palmyra, PA. He had a long career as an educator and served as a teacher and principal in the Lebanon School District from 1969 to 1992 and was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. Jim was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Mt. Lebanon Lodge 226 F.&A.M.

Survivors include his wife, Betty E. (Miller) Jackson of Collegeville; four sons, Wardell “Dell” and Terry Jackson of Lancaster, PA, James and Jennifer Jackson of Australia, Jon and Cheryl Jackson of Durham, NC, and Jeff and Tawny Jackson of Collegeville; brother, Richard “Dick” and Dolores Jackson; sister, Betty and the late T.R. Them; nine grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte.

His memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 16 at noon at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA.

Friends called on Wednesday morning from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
