Sandra Herman Sandra Herman Sand ra K . “Dusty” Herman, 65, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Sunday,

May 6, 2018 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka after a courageous battle with NSCL cancer. She was born Nov. 13, 1952 in New Albany, PA, the daughter of the late Hollis “Pat” and Jean (Keeney) Herman.

Sandy graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School in Wyalusing, PA, in the Class of 1970. She spent three years as a helicopter mechanic in the U. S. Army. She lived for the past 40 years in Topeka and was employed by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 25 years before retiring.

Survivors include one daughter,

Dye of Topeka; caregiver, Chrystal A. Dye of Topeka; two brothers, Philip Herman (Donna) of Towanda and Ted Herman (Kathleen) of Leesburg, FL; three sisters, Diane (David) Masters of New Era, Marcea (Bill) Kinney of Wyalusing and Lorraine

(Garth) Bovier of Towanda and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Jean Keeney Herman

Memorial services will be held at 1 p. m. on Friday, May 11 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private graveside services will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, New Albany, at a later date.
