Christmas Confectionery Sale on Friday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Wyalusing Public Library. No time to bake? Let us help. Come shop an array of baked goods, all baked and donated by our own local “bakers.” $5/doz. or item. The Tunkhannock United Methodist Church presents “Journey to Bethlehem” on Friday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 15, 6 to 9 p.m. both evenings. Wagons take visitors to eight scenes enacting events surrounding the birth of Jesus. It is free, as are the homemade cookies and hot beverages served at the church, located at the corner of Church and Warren Streets in Tunkhannock. Gingerbread House Time at the South Auburn Grange Hall. on Friday, Dec. 7 at 6-8 p.m. Bring what you want for decorations. There is no charge. Homemade Ornaments Workshop on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Wyalusing Valley Museum in the lobby, 25 Main Street, Wyalusing. Make cut paper ornaments, folded paper stars, Christmas critters and decorate gingerbread men. All ages welcome, children and adults. Free, donations welcome. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stopping at Stevensville’s Christmas party this Saturday, Dec. 8 from noon- 2 p.m. Other fun activities will include arts and crafts, Christmas games, snacks and visiting with the neighbors. Santa Walk, Sunday, Dec. 9; Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Town Houses 2-2:15 p.m., Westgate 2:30-3:15 p.m., Washington Park 3:30-4:30 p.m., Allen Street 4:45 p.m. and then through town. Sponsored by the Meshoppen Volunteer Fire Co. and Meshoppen Holiday Fund. Gospel/Christmas Show on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 2-4 p.m. at the Fairdale United Methodist Church, Montrose, PA. The show featuring Rich Wilson will consist of a blend of Gospel songs as well as Holiday favorites to start the season with good cheer. Free-will offering. Join us for Breakfast with Santa at the Lawton Senior Center, 54 State Route 3037 in Lawton, on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 8-10:30 a.m. Admission: adults and kids over age 12, $8; kids age 4 to 11, $4; kids under age three are free of charge. A family rate is available. An assorted basket raffle will be held, with winners drawn at 10:45 a.m. All proceeds gained from this event will directly benefit activities at the Lawton Senior Center. This event is rescheduled, and was previously scheduled for Dec. 7. NEBEF Christmas Show “Christmas in the Country” will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Northeast High School. Features performances by students and community members. Donations at the door benefit the Northeast Bradford Education Foundation.
