BREAKFASTS

Monthly Breakfast at the Herrickville Fire Hall, Sunday, March 31 from 7:30-10:30 a.m. All you can eat pancakes, french toast, ham, sausage, eggs, home fries, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee, orange juice, real maple syrup and sugar-free syrup. Adults, $8; children to 12 years, $4; preschool, free. Benefit Herrick Twp. Vol. Fire Co., Dept. 4.

CHURCH

Healing Mass on Tuesday, March 19 at St. Joachim’s Church in Meshoppen with Fr. Pio Mondato. Free supper at 5:30 p.m. in the church hall; Confession at 6:30 p.m. and Mass at 7 p.m. All are welcome.

An Evening with the Shroud of Turin on Wednesday, April 3 at 6:30 pm. at St. Mary’s Hall, Wyalusing, adjacent to the church on 245 State St. (Rt. 6). The Shroud of Turin is the most important relic that Christianity has because it is the actual burial shroud of Jesus Christ. It bears marks that prove the passion, crucifixion and the resurrection of our Lord. Alex Piechocki from Towanda will display his actual scale replica of the Shroud and tell the story of the Shroud. All are welcome and you need not be a Catholic to attend.

CLASSES

Craft Class on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Laceyville Public Library at 1:30 p.m. Our teacher is Teresa Brewer. Call the library at 570-869-1958 for further information.

DINNERS

Lenten Fish Dinners: Friday, March 29 and April 12. Served from 4-7 p.m. in St. Basil Hall, Dushore, PA. Adults $10, children 6 to 12, $4 and under 6 eat free. Everyone welcome. Takeouts available. Dinner includes baked fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, applesauce, dinner roll, beverage and homemade dessert. Proceeds benefit local charity activities. The dinners are sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Dushore, Wyalusing and Mildred, Council 12406.

St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef Dinner on Saturday, March 16 at the Mehoopany Methodist Church. Take-outs at 3 p.m.; Eat-in 4 p.m. to ? Corned Beef & Ham, cabbage, roasted red potatoes, glazed carrots, Harvard beets and homemade pies. Adults $12, children under 12 $6 and pre-school are free.

Chicken & Biscuit Dinner on Saturday, March 23 at the Forkston United Methodist Church. Served family style. Serving from 4-6:30 p.m. Takeouts available. Adults $10, children 6-12 $5 and 5 and under are free. Bake sale: pie, breads and cookies.

EASTER EVENTS

VFW Post 6824 Children’s Easter Party registration is now open until April 1 to children 10 years and under. Easter party to be held on Sunday, April 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the post on Haigh’s Pond Road. Registration is required. Children’s Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at the VFW Post 384, New Albany. Registration is required and is now open until April 1 to children 10 years and under. Call Janice 570-924-4804 or Elaine at 570-924-3537.

Representatives from the Apprise program are available year-round at the B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging, Inc. office in Towanda to counsel individuals regarding Medicare, Medicaid, Advantage Plans, Medigap/Supplement, prescription plans, PA PACE program, numerous medical insurance and prescription drug eligibility programs and assistance with the completion of various medical forms and applications. These services are offered as part of the Apprise program. For additional information or to schedule an appointment, call 800-982-4346.

United Way Of Bradford County Grant Application Deadline is quickly approaching for 2020 funding (Funding Jan. 1, 2020-Dec. 31, 2020.) All applications must be completed online through the United Way of Bradford County website no later than midnight of March 17, 2019.
