The Wyalusing Musical Society will be hosting the Annual Tea on Thursday, March 28 at the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. for the piano students of Diana Black and Sarah VanVolkinburg attending Piano Festival.

The Wyalusing Senior Citizens will meet on Tuesday, March 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the Wyalusing Meadows Community Room. Pat Wachtendorf and Sharon DePoto will be hostesses. Entertainment will be provided by Kelly and Susan Pratt. Please bring your table service, dish to share and a guest.

The Machwihilusing Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet on Wednesday, March 20 at the Wyalusing Hotel at 11 a.m.

The Beaver Meadows Cemetery Association will hold their annual meeting on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. All lot owners and potential lot owners are welcome.

OPEN HOUSE

Dewy Meadows Maple in Warren Center will hold their open house on Saturday, March 16 with free samples, watch the boiling process and stir your own maple cream. Breakfast will be served from 7- 11 a.m. at the Little Meadows Fire Hall. R11p

PAINTING CLASS

Easter Theme Paint Party on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Beaver Meadows Church. Fee $35, all supplies included. Teacher Shauna will instruct this painting, but you will be free to paint variations as inspired. Light Brunch will be served.

Pancake Supper on Saturday, March 23. Serving starts at 4 p.m. at the South Auburn Grange.

PUBLIC INVITED

Friends of Salt Springs Park, Inc.: Upcoming events at the park in Franklin Forks, PA are “Chainsaw Day” Saturday, April 13 at 9 a.m. Volunteers needed! On the first day, we make firewood out of dead and downed trees and tackle some of the bigger clean-up jobs. Bring chainsaws and trucks if you can. “Trail Day” on Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. is volunteer clean-up day at the Park. We’ll tackle everything from leaves to logs and dust to trail debris. Free food and T-shirts for all volunteers.

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Northeast Bradford High School gym, Rome. Special guest speaker will be former NBA player, Bay Forrest. Free admission. For more information, call 570-247- 7670.

March Madness Free Coat Giveaway on Saturday, March 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Pathway, 105 Main Street, Towanda in the Social Room. Fifth Annual Spelling Bee: Presented by the Bradford County Library System. Register to participate in one of three age groups starting March 1st at any one of the 9 libraries. Age Groups: 10-14, 15- 18 and 19 and up. First round will take place Saturday, March 23 at your local library. Finals to be held Saturday, April 13 at the American Legion in Towanda. Prizes awarded. Camptown Civic Club will meet on Tuesday, March 19 at the Camptown Community Church for a covered dish dinner at 6 p.m. Guests are welcome. Bring table service and a dish to pass. Meat and beverage will be provided. The program will follow at 6:45 p.m. with stories of the Civil War presented by Morgan Clinton, curator of the Wyalusing Valley Museum. RABIES CLINICS

Wilmot Fire Co. will be hosting a Rabies Clinic on Monday, March 18 from 5-6 p.m. with Dr. Donn Laudermilch from Rome Vet Center. $10 per animal. Dogs and cats must be caged.

Upcoming Raffle: Win a trip to Punta Cana. The GWCC is selling raffle tickets for an allinclusive trip for two to Punta Cana. The trip includes a seven night stay at the luxury Majestic Elegance Resort. Airfare from Philadelphia, all transfer fees, meals, entertainment and taxes are included. Travel arrangements will be handled through The Travel Shoppe and are based on availability. Tickets are $50 each, drawing date Thursday, April 18. Tickets can be purchased at the following GWCC member businesses: the Rocket-Courier, Grovedale Winery and the Towanda Gun Club.

The Guthrie Cancer Center Support Group meets monthly to provide emotional and social support for men and women with cancer. The group is held the third Tuesday of each month from 2-3 p.m. in the Guthrie Cancer Center Conference Room on the fifth floor of the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre. The next group will meet on Tuesday, March 19.
