Back from Iraq, Soldier Surprises Grandparents

Rome area residents Donna and Doug Stewart have a memory of last week's Wyoming County Fair they won't soon forget. It was while Donna and Doug were preparing to show cattle at the fair that they received a surprise visit from their grandson, U.S. Army Specialist Josh Stewart who returned home from Iraq the previous night for a two week leave. Josh, a 2003 Northeast Bradford High School graduate who volunteered for duty in Iraq, is serving with a military police unit in Baghdad. After his leave, Josh will return to Iraq, where he's been serving since January, for another six months. Those pictured at the impromptu family reunion above include (front, left to right) Macy Stewart, Doug's cousin, and his sister, Kelsey Goodwin.
