Bridge Preservation Work in Bradford County Next Week Detailed
PennDOT’s Bradford County bridge maintenance crew will apply epoxy overlays on two bridge decks during the week of June 6 -10.
On Monday and Tuesday, the crew will be working on Marbaker Road, SR 1014, in Tuscarora Township, just off SR 367, preparing the deck and applying the material to the deck surface.
Tuesday through Thursday the crew will be working on North Rome Road, SR 1022, between North Rome and Rome. This bridge is the one just east of the Creekside Market. Tuesday, the crew will prepare the deck surface for the epoxy. Wednesday and Thursday, the crew will apply the epoxy coating to the deck.
All of the work on both bridges will be done one lane at a time, and traffic will be maintained by flagmen, although delays are possible as the crew has to periodically occupy both lanes.
The epoxy cannot be placed during or immediately after rainfall, so any precipitation during the work day will delay the work schedule.
