Bridge Work Resumes on Route 6 at Sylvania, then Route 187
Work being done under a bridge rehabilitation contract at two sites in Bradford County resumes next week.
Beginning next week, work will resume at the Route 6 Bridge project over Sugar Creek in the Borough of Sylvania, to be followed by work at the Route 187 Bridge over Bullard Creek in Rome Township.
At both sites, the temporary pavement that was placed last year will be removed and replaced with the final pavement.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers at both sites. Motorists are urged to pay full attention to their driving when approaching and passing through the work zones.
All work is expected to be completed by mid-May.
This is part of a $2 million contract with L. C. Whitford Co., Inc. involving major rehabilitation work on three state bridges in the county. Most of the work was performed last year.
