Chesapeake Appalachia to Upgrade State Route 4016 in Sullivan County and SR 4012 in Bradford County; Work Starts This Week with Detours
Motorists are advised that State Route 4016 (Campbellville Road) in Sullivan County and State Route 4012 (Laurel Hill Road) in Bradford County will be upgraded by Chesapeake Appalachia starting this week.
A detour for SR 4016 (Campbellville Road) will be in effect weekdays during daylight hours. Local traffic access will be maintained, however.
The detour for Campbellville Road will direct traffic to Millview Mountain Road, Route 87, Route 220 and Dushore Overton Road.
The entire 5.6-mile length of Campbellville Road, from Millview Mountain Road in Elkland Township to Lambert Hill Road in Forks Township, will be upgraded. The work is scheduled for completion by June 24.
Repairs will be made to the entire 5.4-mile length of SR 4012 (Laurel Hill Road) in Bradford County and are expected to be completed by June 24.
A detour will be in effect for Laurel Hill Road and will use Milan Road. Access for local traffic will be maintained.
Chesapeake has excess maintenance agreements with PennDOT covering SR 4016 and SR 4012. Chesapeake determined that it would be more cost-effective to upgrade the roads rather than make repeated repairs.
