Dates for Elk Lake Kindergarten Registration Set
Children must be five years of age by Sept. 1, 2004 to enter this year's kindergarten. Parents are reminded that the Pennsylvania Law requires that children entering school for the first time must have completed their immunizations for diphtheria/tetanus (four doses, with the fourth dose at age four or after); polio (three doses); Hepatitis B (three doses); measles (two doses); mumps and German measles. Most students entering school will have more than the required immunizations. Children who have not had chicken pox must have the varicella vaccine. Children who are not properly immunized will not be permitted to enter school unless they have a written medical or religious exemption. There is no grace period; therefore, we –recommend that you contact your child's healthcare provider to be sure your child is completely immunized.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the elementary office at 278-1106, ext. 730.
