DiStadio Running for Wyoming County Commissioner
"My years as a committed advocate for local community service include being an active member of Tunkhannock Community Ambulance Association, including a position on the board of directors and serving as treasurer for the past six years." He is also an active member of Triton Hose Fire Company, a member of the American Legion Post 510 in Black Walnut, the Moose Lodge 1276 and the Wyoming County Concerned Taxpayers PAC.
DiStadio received an Associate Degree in Aviation Maintenance and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, Florida. While in college, he worked in the University Purchasing Department gain-ing knowledge in departmental budgeting, setting up open and closed bidding while working together with the Accounts Payable and Receivables Department and their procedures.
DiStadio worked for Allegheny Airlines/US Airways for 10 years. He also spent 14 years with added corporate responsibility working for FBO Air/Saker Aviation at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport in Avoca. DiStadio earned lifelong management skills working over 16 years in the family business.
A member of the community since 1967, DiStadio wants to represent the voice of the people. He says he promises to involve community groups and individuals in key decisions to move the county forward. He will focus his time on water and land use issues. Many of the keys to a sustainable future are rooted firmly in old traditions still practiced here, and he is committed to full-time representation for all the people of the county. "My heart and soul is in Wyoming County. I'm passionately committed to causing county government to work better, spend tax dollars wisely and make decisions in a more open way."
