Education Association Will Sponsor Edline Training

The Wyalusing Area Education Association (WAEA) will sponsor training on an internet program called Edline, which will enable parents, teachers, and administrators to communicate more effectively. Edline is a learning community management system that many schools are using for school and class organization. With just a few mouse clicks, Edline allows parents and students secure website access to class assignments and test scores, as well as school and classroom news.

According to Wyalusing Valley High School library media specialist Deana Patson, teachers have been using Edline for several years now, and parents have also had access to it. The training program was devised to show parents the vast variety of information that is available to them, as well as to provide direct links to communicate with faculty members.

WAEA will offer one-hour, hands-on training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 2 and 3 at 5 and 6 p.m. each day. The information will be the same for each of the four times offered. The sessions, which are offered at no cost, will be held in Room 18 of Wyalusing Valley High School. Registration is not required, but parents with questions may email dpatson@wyalusingrams.com.
