Four Survive when Car Rolls in Sugar Run

Two people were injured Tuesday morning, Aug. 31, in this motor vehicle accident on Rt. 187 in Sugar Run, but none seriously, according to state police. The accident occurred when this 1990 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling south on Rt. 187 and was rounding a right curve when the driver, Mario Vasquez, 31, of Camptown, hit the brakes when he saw another vehicle emerging from a driveway. This caused the Pathfinder to leave the road, go up an embankment and roll onto its roof in the 8:25 a.m. accident. One of his passengers, 30-year-old Florasilda Sanchez, also of Camptown, sustained moderate injuries. Vasquez's eight-month-old son sustained minor injuries. State police report that the driver will be cited for traveling at an unsafe speed.
