P&G Bringing Trailer of Items Into Area

The former Wyalusing Elementary School will be used as a distribution center where products from P&G will be handed out for free to flood victims in our area.

The items to be distributed are paper towels and diapers.

Distribution will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday until 8 p.m. Items will continue to be distributed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or as long as inventory lasts.

Cases of water are available at the Wyalusing and Wilmot Fire Halls as well as cleaning kits for people to pick up. Nancy Bendinsky has been one of the Red Cross volunteers helping with distribution at the Wyalusing Fire Hall, located in the truck bay, upper level adjacent to the hall.

The Wyalusing Township Supervisors are working with Southwestern Energy to pick up and dispose of any flood damaged items that may include hot water heaters, furnaces, sheetrock, etc. The pick-up day is today, Thursday, Sept. 15 at no cost to the homeowner or business owner. They need to pile up damaged items at the curb and they will be picked up.

The FEMA number is 1-800-621-3362; Salvation Army 570-677-7004.
