Route 220 Lane Restriction Lifted
The lane restriction for bridge repairs on Route 220 north of New Albany (detailed below) is expected to be lifted by the end of the day this Friday, May 13.
Repairs to Route 220 Bridge over Route 6 Start Next Week
Steel repairs on the Route 220 bridge over Route 6 in North Towanda Township, Bradford County are scheduled to start next week.
Work will be performed during daylight hours starting on or about May 11 and continuing through June 3.
Traffic on Route 6 (beneath the Route 220 overpass) will be shifted to the shoulder areas in both directions during construction. Additionally, the right shoulder of Route 220 northbound will be closed at the bridge during the project.
This $85,000 contract will be performed by J. D. Eckman, Inc. to repair damages to the superstructure that occurred during truck crashes at that location.
Route 220 Resurfacing Project in Bradford County Resumes This Week
Weather permitting, a $3.4 million resurfacing project on Route 220 in Bradford County resumes this week.
Paving operations will resume on Sunday evening, May 15 to complete the paving on Route 220 between North Towanda and Greens Landing.
Paving along this 9.8-mile long project will be scheduled from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. nightly, Sunday through Thursday evenings, until completed.
Other work, including base repairs, epoxy overlay for the bridge decks, curbs and sidewalk work, will be done during daylight hours starting this Wed., May 11.
All work is expected to be complete by the beginning of July.
At all times traffic will be controlled by flaggers; please plan for travel delays.
