Planning Underway for North Branch Arts Festival

Wyalusing's North Branch Arts Festival is in its final stages of planning for the October 9th event on Main Street and at other areas around town.

A great schedule of entertainment is on tap including many locals like the Swing Choir, WVHS senior Justin Kilmer, the Adult Band and the Senior chorus.

Regional entertainment will include several area dance troupes, zydeco, blues, swing, bluegrass music and dancing.

The Rainbow Club will be serving up barbecued chicken dinners along with several other food vendors.

The main event will be the juried arts fair, along with gallery openings at five locations in and around town.

The weekend also includes the Art Trail with gallery openings at 22 venues, mostly between Wilkes-Barre and Wyalusing, with a few more located further west and even into NY State this year.

For the second year, the triathlon will also be part of this year's events, and the organizers expect it to be even more popular than the first.

Volunteers are still needed for many aspects of the triathlon and the festival operation. If you would like to help out or have questions about the weekend, contact the Greater Wyalusing Chamber of Commerce at 570-7464922 or wchamber@epix.net.
