Route 187 Bridge Replacement
A bridge replacement project on State Route 187 at Durell in Asylum Township, Bradford County, is scheduled to start the week of April 18.
A detour will be implemented starting Monday, April 25. The signed detour will follow Liberty Corners Road, Marshview Road and North Street. The bridge to be replaced carries Route 187 over Bennett’s Creek near Liberty Corners Road.
In addition to replacement of the existing bridge on the same alignment, work includes rebuilt roadway approaches, drainage improvements, slope erosion protection and new guiderail installation.
Construction is to be completed by mid-June.
Rt. 467 Road Work
Beginning this week, PennDOT’s contractor will have a temporary roadway open to local traffic through the construction area at the slide repair project on Route 467 in Rome Township, Bradford County.
The work zone is one mile from Route 187 and was originally closed to traffic on March 3. Due to numerous concerns with the deterioration of the signed traffic detour route, a temporary one-lane roadway was constructed through the work zone for local traffic only.
Traffic signals have been installed to control traffic flow outside normal work hours. During work hours, flaggers will control traffic flow. Please use caution when travelling through the work zone. Expect delays.
This temporary roadway will remain in effect until approximately October. At that time Route 467 will be closed again to all traffic for about four weeks as the contractor completes paving and guiderail installation.
