Wyalusing Wine Festival Canceled
By Rick Hiduk
The much-anticipated Wyalusing Wine Festival, which was slated for Sept. 10 on the grounds surrounding the big red barn at the Wyalusing Valley Museum, has been canceled for this year due to severe flooding and the fact that there is still standing water at the site.
According to committee member Stef Woodruff, all tickets purchased in advance of the event are refundable. Patrons who ordered tickets via phone or email do not have to call, as their money will automatically be refunded as per electronic sales records.
People who bought physical tickets in person will be able to turn in their tickets for a full refund once suitable sites can be coordinated in the wake of the disaster. Those locations will be announced in the coming days.
Committee members respectfully ask for the patience of everyone who had hoped to attend the festival, which was to benefit the Wyalusing Valley Museum Association and the Wyalusing Lions and Lioness Clubs.
