James Robert Johnson, 39, Wysox RR 2, faces prosecution for aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment for alleged offenses on Feb. 22 at 10:10 a.m. at the intersection of Routes 187 and 6 in Wysox Township. It is alleged that Johnson physically assaulted a female victim, including slapping her, throwing her down and choking her with his hands until she nearly passed out.

Additionally, it is alleged he held a knife to her throat and made reference to the expression til death do us part. His preliminary hearing date was March 2.

Joshua William Vanderpool, 20, Gillett, faces prosecution for burglary and theft for alleged offenses on Jan. 26 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at Jackson's Trailer Court in Wysox Township. It is alleged that he entered a residence when the premises were not open to the public, removing a lock box containing $240 and various documents, as well as a coin bank containing $84.62 in coins—a total value of $349.12. His preliminary hearing date was March 2.

Mark Curtiss Salsman, 50, Meshoppen, faces prosecution for possession of a small amount of marijuana, DUI and summary traffic violations for alleged offenses on Oct. 10, 2010, at 11:32 a.m. on Route 187 in Wilmot Township. It is alleged that he had in his possession .79 grains of marijuana. His BAC was reported at .149. He was also cited for driving without the required title and registration, driving with a suspended license, driving in the wrong lane and careless driving. His preliminary hearing date is March 23.

Jeremy Karl Taylor Adkins, 32, Lindsay, OK, faces prosecution for DUI, recklessly endangering another person and careless driving for alleged offenses on Dec. 18, 2010, at Jackson's Trailer Court in Wysox at 11:04 p.m. It is alleged that his blood contained a large amount of pharmaceuticals. His preliminary hearing date is March 16.
