Dustin Bloss, 27, South Waverly, faces charges for highest rate DUI and leaving the scene of an accident he caused at about 2 a.m. on Aug. 13. Police allege that Bloss struck a parked vehicle in the 600 block of North Elmer Avenue in Sayre and abandoned the vehicle with headlights still on and the driver’s door ajar. The reporting officer noted that there was also a slight amount of blood in the driver’s side of the vehicle. The parked vehicle belonged to David Dameron, who told police that he heard a loud crash and came out of his home in time to see a male walking north from the scene of the accident. When found at his home, Bloss initially denied having consumed any alcohol or hitting the car in Sayre. After he allegedly admitted to his involvement in the wreck, he was transported to Robert Packer Hospital, where a blood test revealed a BAC of .19.
