Here's a look back at the 1956-57 elementary basketball teams from Wyalusing, Laceyville, Camptown and New Albany during a family night tournament where the four teams squared off, with Wyalusing ending the evening as winner. We are unable to identify all of the players pictured, especially those in the back row. The Laceyville Sixth Grade cage team was recently honored. Coached by Richard Eberlin, members are: Debbie Culver, Kellie Goodman, Tammy Jayne, Annette Mowry, Debi Pickett, Kevin Armitage, Scott Bennett, Matthew Cruver, Bill Fassett, Eddie Robinson, Chris Ruhf and Scott Salsman.
Marguerite Cobb announced her semi-retirement from Kilmer Insurance recently. She has worked for the agency for 26 years, having started with the former Russell B. Pratt Agency.
Helen Otis was honored by Arrow employees on her retirement. She was an employee of the American Meter Co. from the beginning of its operation in 1957 and became an employee on the day Arrow opened in 1968.
The Wyalusing High School band welcomed members of the Sydenham, Ontario, Canada band this week for an exchange festival and concert.
