Reader Compares Columns and Attitudes
(In reference to columns written by publisher David Keeler in the July 14 edition of the Rocket-Courier and one written by news editor Rick Hiduk in the July 21 edition…)
Mr. Hiduk apparently was having a bad day and bought a case of water at a local grocery store and was not pleased by the cashier’s attention to detail and proceeded to deride her unmercifully in the article.
Mr. Keeler, on the other hand, was referencing a blogger named David J. Pollay, who has Tips for a Garbage-Free Life. The gist of that article is that people emotionally fill up with frustration, anger and disappointments, which they need to find a place to dump like garbage on someone at work, at home or on the street.
In closing, here are the last few lines of Mr. Keeler’s article. “Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don’t. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it.”
Have a garbage-free day, Mr. Hiduk, and go back to that grocery store and apologize to the cashier.
