Alta E. Sadler, 85,
Don’t grieve for me, for now I am free. I’m following the path God laid for me, I took his hand when I heard him call. God wanted me now, he set me free. Alta E. Sadler, 85, of Camptown, PA, entered the arms of her Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Highlands Care Home in Laporte, PA. She was born a daughter of the late George and Donna (McCoy) Knoblock.
Alta was a loving and dedicated wife and mother who always felt the need to give back to her community. She was a member of the Rebekahs, Sweet Adelines, Eastern Star and Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Murphy, Sr. in 1965, and her second husband, James Sadler in 1993; two brothers, Leonard Knoblock and Joe M. Knoblock.
Survivors include her son, Glenn and daughter-in-law, Beverly Murphy of Camptown; grandchildren, Kimberly and Colleen; great-grandchildren, Noah, Aaron, Sasha and Grace; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
There will be a memorial service celebrating her life on Saturday, April 30 at the Camptown Community Church at 11 a.m. to be officiated by Rev. Beverly Murphy. Friends may call to visit with the family at 10 a.m.
Donations may be sent to the Animal Humane Society of one’s choice in loving memory of Alta.
