James Deuel, 91
James Deuel, 91 of Tunkhannock and formerly of Montrose, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011, after a brief illness, at Mercy Tyler Hospital in Tunkhannock.
He was born in Carneys Point, NJ, to the late Ben F. and Elsie Mae (Miller) Deuel. He was predeceased by his wife, Harriet Miller Deuel and step-daughter, Doris Miller.
Surviving are his companion, Theresa Schorr, Tunkhannock; step-son and his wife, John and Arlene Miller, Sewell, NJ; three sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Wolfanger, Vestal, NY, Kay Russo, Vestal, NY, Margie and Lou Hicks, Aubrey, TX; three step-granddaughters and many step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Central Pacific. He retired from DuPont Chemical where he was an Inspector. He enjoyed dancing at the VFW and playing Pinochle at the Senior Center with his companion.
A Memorial Service will be held later in May. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, in Hurffville, NJ.
