James E. Kellogg, 70
Born June 20, 1934 in New Albany, PA, he was the son of Harry and Elizabeth M. Martin Kellogg.
He retired from the Ingersoll-Rand in Athens in 1983, where he worked in the Buffing Department.
He was a longtime member of the Skiff-Bower VFW Post No. 1536 of Sayre and Fort Sullivan American Legion Post No. 246 of Athens.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth.
He is survived by his daughter, Lorraine Bailey of Dushore; five grandchildren, Lonnie Bailey of Overton and Stephen, Joshua, Kasey and Clark Bailey, all of Dushore; four brothers, Charles and Maxine Kellogg of New Albany, Gerald and Rita Kellogg of New Albany, Fred and Lorraine Kellogg of New Jersey and Jay and Rose Kellogg of New Jersey; a sister, Mary Beth of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews and a stepmother, Betty Kellogg of New Jersey.
Family and friends called Saturday, July 31 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home, 225 S. Main St., Athens.
Funeral services followed Saturday at noon at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Anderson, pastor of the Athens United Methodist Church, officiating.
Committal service was held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in New Albany.
