Jean C. McClafferty, 75,
She was the wife of Francis E. McClafferty.
Born in Mehoopany, Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late G. Clyde and Dorothy R. (Robertson) Carney.
Mrs. McClafferty had been employed for 20 years as a sewing machine operator by Temple Apparel until her retirement.
She was a graduate of Mehoopany High School.
A volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 16 years, she was also an election poll volunteer in Pottstown.
She was secretary of the senior citizens bowling league in Limerick.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth R. Kramer, Jr., Knauers; three daughters, Bonnie J. (Kramer) Miller, Schuylkill Haven, Karen R. (Kramer) Carroll, Carlisle and Kathryn D. (Kramer) Neiman, Atlantic City, NJ; a stepson, Jay W., Douglassville; two stepdaughters, Kathleen L. (McClafferty) Majka, Pottstown and Cynthia L. (McClafferty) Lenner, Reno, NV; two brothers, David C. Carney, Tucson, AZ and Robert Carney, Meshoppen; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, David C. Kramer in 1999.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday, July 20 at 10 a.m. in Catagnus Funeral Home, Inc., Pottstown. Burial was in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick Township.
