Mrs. Mary Lou Mott Chadwick, 78,

 

Mrs. Mary Lou Mott Chadwick, 78, of Camptown, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2011 at her home with her loving family at her side.

Born in LeRoy, PA on March 3, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Alma Lamont Mott. She graduated from Canton High School, a member of the Class of 1949. She married Jim Chadwick of Merryall on Dec. 27, 1953. She was a homemaker and a loving spouse, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and her friends dearly.

She was a member, elder and trustee of the Camptown Presbyterian Church and a member of the Camptown Civic Club.

Surviving are her spouse, Jim; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Barb; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Karl Peterson and Julie and Ken Howard; sister, Dorothy Smithgall of Canton; sisters-in-law, Wanda Chadwick of Inverness, FL and Dorothy Ann Brabson of Titusville, FL; grandchildren, James W. Chadwick, II, Lauren Ann Chadwick of Wyalusing, Jonathan and Katie Peterson of Orlando, FL, Joseph and Roxana Peterson and great-granddaughter, Grace of El Salvador, Dan Howard and fiancĂ©e Colleen Potter, Keith Howard and Claire Howard of Wyalusing and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Mott  and three sisters, Jean Holcomb, Marion Holmes and Bernice Holcomb.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23 at the Camptown Community Church at noon with the Rev. Bill Westbrook and Rev. David Dewing officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon.

The family will provide the flowers and requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Camptown Presbyterian Church, PO Box 163, Camptown, PA 18815 or a local charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing.
