Philip A. Bush Jr., 74,
Philip A. Bush Jr., 74, of Laceyville, PA, died Tuesday evening, March 15, 2011 at Allied Skilled Nursing in Scranton after an illness. He was born in Clarks Summit, son of the late Philip A. and Shirley Mae Huthmaker Bush. He was married to the former Glenda A. Parrish on June 28, 1980.
A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Tunkhannock, he served as custodian for the area LDS Church.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army Reserves. He sang with the Endless Mountains barbershoppers and enjoyed working on crafts, especially leather crafts, and writing poems.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Knotek.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two step-daughters, Carla (Bedford) and her husband, Larry Severs of Salt Lake City, UT and Darnell (Bedford) of Tunkhannock; two sisters, Carolyn Wydeen and Bertha Mae Bush of Factoryville; six grandchildren, Christopher Wyffells, serving with the Air Force in San Angelo, TX, Desiree Wyfells Bone of Sandy, UT, Cynthia (Husted) and her husband, George Dziwak of Montrose, Andrea, Edward and Timothy Husted of Tunk-hannock; three great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Friends called at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
