Former Wyalusing Resident Killed in Crash

 

Jason Oliver, a 1990 graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School, died as a result of a head-on collision just east of Memorial Bridge on Route 6 in East Towanda at about 1:45 a.m. on Dec. 11. State police reported that Oliver’s Monte Carlo crossed into the eastbound lane and into the path of a truck driven by Billy Moore of Fort Worth, TX, who was hauling an empty semi trailer. 

Oliver is survived by his wife, Audrey, two daughters, and his parents, Robert, Sr. and Irene Oliver of Wyalusing. According to an obituary received from the McHenry Funeral Home, where a memorial service is planned for Saturday, Dec. 17, Oliver was born in Tunkhannock and was most recently residing in the Towanda area after living in Elizabethtown for the past decade.

Oliver was an Army reservist and a member of the Towanda V.F.W. and the Wyalusing American Legion Post 534. Oliver's obituary can be found in our obituary section.
