Assault and Harassment Arrests
Toris S. Garner, 35, Towanda, has been charged by state police for allegedly slapping a 30-year-old woman in the face at approximately 10:45 p.m. on May 22 on Railroad Street in Towanda Township.
Stephanie Lockhart, 19, Towanda, and two juveniles were charged with assault and harassment for their participation in a fight in the Burger King parking lot in North Towanda at about 10 p.m. on May 24.
Jacque West, 39, Towanda was charged with summary harassment after an altercation with a 36-year-old male after an incident that occurred at 10:30 a.m. on May 28 on Mountainview Road in Asylum Township, Bradford County.
Corin Olshan, 19, is alleged to have threatened a 21-year-old female in Springville on May 25. Olshan was cited in Montrose District Court.
Police Investigate Burglaries
Between May 20 and 22, someone attempted to break into a residence at Woodside Terrace in Sheshequin Township owned by a Towanda resident. Readers with information may call state police at Towanda at 570-265-2186.
A Cherry Township, Sullivan County, resident reported to police on May 30 that someone broke into her Hunsinger Road home and stole two bottles of wine and a box of Godiva chocolates. Readers with information may call state police at Laporte at 570-946-4610.
Numerous Charges Pending
Brandon Lawrence Reeves, 28, Towanda, has been charged with aggravated assault, burglary, reckless endangerment, theft, criminal mischief, and simple assault for an incident on Railroad Street, North Towanda Township, dated 10:05 a.m., May 27. Reeves allegedly stole three guns from one victim, then later pointed a loaded revolver at two other victims and threatened to kill them.
Driver Gets Away with Gas
A tractor trailer driver pumped $421.92 in diesel gas at the Pump & Pantry in Dushore at 10 a.m. on May 23 and drove off without paying. Readers with information may call state police at Laporte at 570-946-4610.
Foreign Charges Made on PA Card
Christine E. Raines, 40, Springville, alleges that her Visa debit card was used in Anguilla, British West Indies, without her authorization. The amount totaling $89.19 was reported on May 24.
Crashes Under Investigation
William Lane, 47, LeRaysville, was cited for failing to stop his truck in time before striking a truck driven by Lori Kingsley, 45, Wysox, who had stopped on Route 6 in Standing Stone Township to make a left turn onto W. Valley Road. Both were wearing seatbelts. Kingsley suffered a minor injury.
A two-vehicle crash on Route 220 at Berwick Drive in Monroeton resulted in a minor injury for a passenger from Norristown. Although it is not clear from the police report, vehicles driven by Paul Wilde of Eagleville and Dillon Bolt of Monroeton collided in the northbound lane. Wilde’s vehicle impacted the bridge railing before coming to a stop, and Bolt’s vehicle crossed the center line to come to rest on the southbound berm, facing north.
On May 29, Kevin J. Little, 46, Brackney, was driving north on State Route 267 when his car sideswiped a guiderail. He lost control causing the vehicle to strike the guiderail end. No medical transport was necessary. He was charged.
Criminal Mischief Alleged
Police accused Dennis Manuel, 36, Mildred, of kicking and damaging a parked car owned by a 40-year-old male on Wyalusing/New Albany Road in Terry Township at 10:15 p.m. on May 27.
Somebody threw a beer bottle through a windowpane at the post office in Monroeton on May 28. Readers with information about the incident may call state police at Towanda.
Turnpike Elementary School in Cherry Township, Sullivan County, was the victim of vandalism between 9 a.m. on May 29 and 11 a.m. on May 30, when someone broke the purple “4-hole-ball-top” before fleeing the scene. Readers with information may call state police at Laporte at 570-946-4610.
Alex Romey, 68, Dushore, was charged with criminal mischief for allegedly smashing the rear window of a 2000 Buick LeSabre parked at the Silver Maple Trailer Court in Cherry Township, Sullivan County, between 5:45 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on May 26. DUI Stops Made Near Laceyville
On May 21 at 2:14 a.m., Brendan Timek, Pittston, was stopped along Second Street in Laceyville Borough for equipment and traffic violations. Police detected that Timek was under the influence, and charges of DUI are pending the result of a blood test.
On May 28 at 1:31 a.m., Kelly Lehman, Ulysses, PA, was stopped along Route 6 near the Wyoming County Fairgrounds for traffic violations. It was detected that she was under the influence, and charges will be filed against her for DUI.
Vandalism and Thefts Reported
Michael Perez, Franklin Street, Laceyville, has told police that between May 20 and 26 someone removed a battery from his vehicle and a dog kennel from his yard. No further information was available.
