Lady Rams Win, Boys Tie NEB in Track
The Wyalusing Valley girls won all but three events en route to a 119-31 victory over Northeast Bradford on March 31. In the boys’ meet, the Rams and the Panthers settled for a 75-75 tie as Wyalusing won just six events. Kaitlyn Faulkner was a four-time winner for the Lady Rams, sweeping the 100 hurdles (18.3) and 300 hurdles (56.0). She also joined Lindsay Schulze, Jessica Hotaling and Kaci Woznicki to win the 400 relay (55.4). Faulkner and Schulze tied atop the long jump leaderboard with identical leaps of 14-8.5. Schulze also won the triple jump (29-9.75). Erika Huffman and Hotaling, who both teamed with Elesha Schulze and Sydney Snyder to capture the 3200 relay (11:06.8), were both three-time winners. Huffman won the 800 (2:33.6) and joined Kayleen Sutton, Liz Keeney and Jordan Armitage to win the 1600 relay (5:07.8). Hotaling added a solo win in the 100 (14.1). Abby Fogel swept the distance races, winning the 1600 (5:50.8) and 3200 (12:23.8). JoAnna McGee won the 200 (30.4) and 400 (1:07.7). Claire Howard won the high jump (4-8). Jessica Carr won the pole vault (7-0). Northeast Bradford’s Kelsey Carlsen was a three-time winner, taking the javelin (124-5), shot put (29-7) and discus (70-9). In the boys’ meet, Dan Frankenfield won the 110 hurdles (18.5) and 300 hurdles (47.1). Aaron Johnson won the 100 (11.08) and joined Tim Ace, Chris McDonald and Ryan Miller to win the 400 relay (47.9). Eric Fenton won the 200 (26.3). Tim Kuntz won the pole vault (9-0). For Northeast Bradford, Rob Robbins was a four-time winner, capturing the long jump (18-6.75), javelin (177-8), high jump (5-8) and triple jump (37-0.75). Curt Jewett won the 1600 (4:38.7) and 3200 (10:06.2). Cody Chaffee won the shot put (43-5) and discus (126-6). Jake Balchikonis added a win in the 800 (2:03.9). He also ran legs on the winning 3200 relay (9:12.2) and 1600 relay (3:48.70). Colton Snyder, Sam Williams and Ryan Horne ran on the 3200 relay. Snyder, who also won the 400 (56.5), Horne and Isaiah McPherson ran the 1600 relay.
