Omurwa Wins Shickshinny Run

Bornfase Omurwa continued his dominance in Luzerne County runs with a victory in the Susquehanna Warrior Trail run in Shickshinny on April 2. Omurwa ran a 17:18 to top the 180-person field, beating runner-up Dan Pszeniczny by 10 seconds. Tim Felegie was third with a time of 17:53. Deedra Porfirio was the top female, crossing the line 21st, overall, in 21:15. Katie Grose was second in 21:50, followed by Debra Long in 21:53. First Friday 5K A 5K run will be held in Towanda on Friday, April 8, starting at 6 p.m. as part of the borough’s First Friday festivities, which were postponed from last week.
