Running Roundup: Wadas Wins Anthracite Four-Miler
Chris Wadas won the Anthracite Four-Miler at West Pittston on June 4 in 20:22.
Frank Redmond was second in 21:13, followed by David McLean in 22:46.
Deedra Porfirio topped the women’s race in a time of 24:56. Ali Ostrum was second in 25:21, followed by Monica Obsitos in 26:18.
Class of 2013 5K
At Tunkhannock, on June 4, Jack Tidball won the race in 17:56.
Megan Manglaviti was the female winner in 23:44.
Finishing the Fight 5K
On June 4, at Blakely, Mike Petcavage was the overall winner in 16:42, followed by Nicco Cruciani in 20:39 and Ryan Campbell in 20:57.
Deb Swartict was the top female with a time of 21:57, followed by Megan Mercanti in 23:17 and Stacey Cummings in 24:32.
Pocono XTerra 3
At Hickory Run Park, on June 4, Dan Dix won the race in 43:31, followed by Paul Jesse in 45:22 and Tony Korch in 47:18.
Nadalie Solomon led the ladies to the line in 51:47, followed by Jaclyn Shokey in 53:49 and Jen Stec-Gagliardi in 57:06.
God’s Country Marathon
Christian Blyer of Rochester, NY, led a group of 100 finishers to the line in the 26-mile race from Galeton, on June 4, at Coudersport. His winning time was 2:50:19.
Stephen Velott was second in 3:10:04, followed by Craig Butler in 3:19:29.
Christie Keglovits of Coudersport was the female winner in 3:20:38, followed by Diana Widdowson in 3:39:26 and Karen Johnson in 3:43:00.
