Youth Bowlers Compete at States

Two area girls and one boy competed in the Pennsylvania Pepsi Scholarship bowling tournament in Butler, PA, held on May 21-22.

In the girls’ 12-under handicap competition, Wyalusing’s Bryn Zionkowski rolled a 716 to finish 23rd. Laceyville’s Macy Schillinger was 55th with a score of 677.

Meshoppen’s Austin Bonavita was 31st in the boys’ 12-under handicap competition.

 

Legion Baseball Slated to Open

Wyalusing American Legion Post 534 will open Bradford-Tioga League play on Saturday, June 4 with a doubleheader at Mansfield, beginning at 10 a.m.

The final league schedule has yet to be completed.

 

Camp Cadet Tournament Slated

The Troop “P” Camp Cadet Golf Tournament, benefitting the Pennsylvania State Police’s Camp Cadet program, is slated for Friday, July 22, at Stone Hedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock, starting at 1:30 p.m.

Applications for the tournament are due by July 1. The entry fee is $100 per person.

 

WVHS All-Sports Awards Set

The Wyalusing Valley High School All-Sports Awards Night has been slated for Tuesday, June 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Williams Auditorium.
