WVHS Girls' Soccer: Lady Rams Shutout on Road

 

A pair of heartbreaking 1-0 road losses dropped Wyalusing Valley’s record to 4-4.

 

Troy 1, Wyalusing 0

At Troy, on Oct. 3, Louisa Shedden’s first-half goal gave Troy the only goal it needed. Emily Hunsicker assisted on the goal.

Troy’s Rachel Stafford made five saves in the shutout.

McKenzi Millard was in net for Wyalusing, making nine saves.

Troy took 13 shots, while the Lady Rams took five. Both squads took two corner kicks.

 

Sayre 1, Wyalusing 0

At Sayre, on Sept. 28, Mikala McNamara scored at 18:56 of the second half for the game’s only goal.

The loss wasted a solid outing by Lady Ram goalkeeper Courtney Larson, who finished with 4 saves.

Sayre’s Sarah Ostrowski had 2 saves in net.

The Lady Redskins had a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal. Sayre had a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
