WVHS Volleyball Defeats Northeast Bradford
Wyalusing Valley cruised to a 3-0 win at Northeast Bradford on Oct. 11.
The Lady Rams, now 6-6, overall, won 25-16, 25- 14 and 25-22.
Laci Holdren led Wyalusing with 17 points. She also had six aces and eight digs.
Erika Huffman added nine points, seven aces, eight assists, five kills and two blocks.
Christina Hons had five assists. Erin Dean-Swank made four kills. Jessica Carr had two blocks. Sara Huffman had six points.
Wyalusing also won the junior varsity match, 2-0 (25-18, 25-16).
Bailey Smith had three kills. Danelle Salsman had nine points and three aces. Adrianna Vaskas had nine points and four aces.
Towanda 3, Wyalusing 0
At Towanda, on Oct. 6, the Lady Knights won the first game, 25-8, and, after surviving a 26-24 scare in the second game, closed out the match with a 25-19 win in the third.
Huffman had 10 kills and 11 assists for the Lady Rams. She also had nine digs, two points, an ace and a block.
Dean-Swank also had 10 kills to go with two digs, one point and a block.
Holdren made 11 digs and had six points, an ace, two assists and two kills.
Hons handed out eight assists and made three digs.
Elesha Schulze had eight points, including four aces, three kills, three assists and three digs.
Carr added six points, three kills, three assists and a dig.
Towanda’s Alaina Wickwire served up 13 points. Tori Welliver made 14 kills and seven blocks. Alysha Grimes dished out 27 assists. Taylor Coolbaugh had 11 points and 12 digs. Hailey Innocenzo made 13 digs.
Towanda won the junior varsity match, 2-0 (25-15, 25-19).
Jessica Cantale had five points, an ace and an assist for Wyalusing. Madison Eberlin handed out four assists and made two points, an ace and a dig. Sarah LaFrance had two points on two aces, a dig and a kill. Brittany Hons had three points, an ace, one dig, an assist and a kill. Alicia Tewksbury added three kills and an assist.
Towanda’s Emily Gorman scored eight points. Alacia White had 11 kills.
