A Spooky Halloween
is Not for Pets!
Remember these tips to keep your pets safe and healthy this Halloween:
-You may know chocolate can be toxic for your pets, but candy wrappers, plastic
bags and just too much sugar can also make your pets sick.
-Many dogs and cats enjoy dressing up in Halloween costumes! Make sure that
your pet does not feel confined by a too tight or complicated costume, and that
there are no small decorations that can be chewed off and swallowed. To make
sure your pet stays safe, always keep them in direct supervision while they are
wearing their costume.
-Keep your dogs and cats confined indoors during trick-or-treating hours. When
their homes are approached by noisy strangers in costume, they may try to bolt
or even bite if they feel surprised and frightened.
-Make sure candles and other Halloween decorations are kept out of your pet’s
reach, so they do not get knocked down or chewed up.
