Ed Bieleski, Montrose, shot a bear on State Game Lands 57 near Red Rock, Luzerne County, at 8:25 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24. Bieleski spent eight hours hauling the bruin out of the woods Monday and had to return Tuesday before finally retrieving it with help from game commission employees. The bear dressed out at 482 pounds with an estimated live weight of 569 pounds.
